Abstract
A method is proposed for calculating the spatial distribution of the dissipated energy from a unidirectional point source of monoenergetic electrons in an infinite homogeneous medium. The distribution is found by a moment-method solution of the corresponding kinetic equations, formulated in the approximation of continuous electron deceleration; the distribution function from the calculated moment system is subsequently reconstructed along the spatial coordinates.
