Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

Scattering by bound electrons is considered in the nonrelativistic approximation. The matrix element for the transition is calculated in the second order of perturbation theory without the use of intermediate states. It is shown that ordinary scattering is accompanied by scattering giving lower -energy quanta and fast electrons.
