Abstract
The familiar equations for the synchrotron radiation of an electron moving in a constant and uniform magnetic field are refined and corrected for the case of a helical trajectory. Particular attention is paid to account of the subsequent approximations in the asymptotic equation. This permits a significant expansion of the range of applicability of the approximate methods for studying the synchrotron radiation when there is a longitudinal velocity component.
