Second approximation of the generalized WKBJ method

V. Potential scattering of ultrarelativistic electrons

Abstract

The generalized WKBJ method is used to study the phase shifts of the radial wave functions of ultrarelativistic electrons scattered by a central field. The scattering phases are derived for ultrarelativistic electrons within terms of second order in ħ inclusively; the relations found for the scattering phases are more general than the familar Rosen-Yennie expressions.
