Theory of compton scattering of polarized photons by a particle with spin 1/2

Abstract

Expressions are obtained for the effective differential scattering cross section of elliptically polarized photons by a Dirac point particle initially at rest, possessing charge and anomalous magnetic moment. The particular cases of the scattering of linearly and circularly polarized photons are discussed. The case when the incident radiation is unpolarized is discussed.
