    We have established the reason for the development of errors when reversing the carriages of universal measuring microscopes.

  2. 2.

    In adjusting the microscopes, it must be remembered that the jump which occurs on reversing the carriages depends more on the inclination of the axes of the support bearings relative to the guide blocks than on the wear of the bearings.
