Summary
-
1.
A systematic study has been made of the mechanical and technological properties including weldability,of the Ti-Al-Mo, Ti-Al-Cr, Ti-Al-Mn, Ti-Al-Fe and Ti-Fe-Mn alloys (cut for 94% Ti).
-
2.
The desirability of alloying titanium-aluminium alloys withβ-stabilizing elements close to their solubility limit in α-titanium has been shown. Such alloys combine elevated temperature strength with technological ductility and satisfactory weldability.
