Abstract
A capacitive dilatometer has been used to study the temperature dependence of the thermal-expansion coefficient of polycrystalline samples of certain refractory metals. The results are compared with calculated results. The reasons for the discrepancies which exist between experiment and theory are analyzed briefly.
