High-energy limitation on the van hove overlap function

  • Published:
Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

General considerations yield a lower limit for the high-energy derivatives at point t = 0 of the functions E(t) and G(t), due to elastic and inelastic channels, respectively, in the unitarity condition. The results are expressed in terms of experimentally measurable total cross sections.
