1.
A method has been proposed for finding the temperature dependence of the intermediate spectrum of the configurations of the localized part of the valence electrons. Statistical-weight distributions have been found for the indicated dx configurations for any temperature, and a mathematical procedure has been proposed for a numerical solution of the equations found.

2.
A physical meaning has been found for the configurational model for an increase in the statistical weights of the dx stable configurations with increasing main quantum number of the valence electrons within a group of elements in the periodic table.
