Effect of oxygen adsorption on the properties of bismuth triiodide single crystals

  • Published:
Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

An experimental study is reported of the effect of oxygen adsorption on the photoconductivity, dark conductivity, and thermionic work function of bismuth triiodide single crystals. The results are explained on the basis of the proposed formation of surface charge due to adsorption of oxygen molecules.
