Abstract
Concurrent study of the changes in the conductivity and absorption spectra of KC1 + PbCl2 crystals grown with a KOH impurity and subjected to prolonged electrolysis shows that these changes are due to the interaction of cationic and anionic impurities. The restoration of impurity conductivity during the electrolytic introduction of cations is due to the recovery of the state of the activator impurity.
