1.
The recommendations on the standardization method and on numerical values of the metrological parameters (for main error) of the deformation measuring instruments can be used while determining standards for strain gages used in tensile testing of metals. The introduction of such a standard will help considerably in ensuring the comparability of test results in the field of mechanical measurements.

2.
The derived equations make it possible to choose the measuring devices properly and also to establish the functional effect of other parameters (not being measured) on the measurement error. This facilitates an objective approach to the choice of measuring method if the accuracy of the measuring process is specified.
In conclusion it should be noted that the suggested method of analysis and standardization can also be used for evaluating the accuracy of the measuring process during tests involving compression, torsion, bending, hardness, etc.
