Conclusions
-
1.
A reduction in grain size (by different methods) makes it possible to lower significantly the cold-shortness temperature of high-chromium alloys of the Fe-Cr-5% Al system.
-
2.
The increase in the cold-shortness temperature of Fe-Cr-5% Al alloys with increasing grain size is described by a type of Holl-Petch relationship.
-
3.
The tendency of alloys of the Fe-Cr-5% Al system to embrittlement as grain size increases intensifies with their increasing chromium content.
