Summary
After a short introduction into the phenomenon of alyotropism inequalities are derived by use of a general Redlich-Kister statement in the enlargement to ternary systems, recommended by Kohler. This allows to predict alyotropic effects, which is demonstrated on some examples. For the first time, alyotropism can be predicted in this way not only for systems with a continuous miscibility gap, but also for systems with a one-sided miscibility gap.
