Summary

The interaction of a straight crack with a center of dilatation in an infinite elastic plane is investigated. Analytical solutions for the stress intensity factors, the generalized interaction forces and the potential of the system are derived. Furthermore, the contact problem, arising in the case of partial crack clusore, is solved for the limit cases of frictionless and of ideally rough crack faces.
