1.
The formation of the impeded deformation zone in the rolling of powders is examined with the aid of a three-dimensional diagram. It is demonstrated that a nonuniform density distribution across the strip width is a normal feature of the rolling of strip with the use of feeding devices having fixed side walls.

2.
The relationship has been established between the size of the low-density parts of strip and strip width on the one hand and conditions of internal and external friction, the angle of densification, and the width of the feeding device on the other hand.
