Improving the adhesion of plasma-sprayed coatings to articles

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The principle is described of spray deposition with an intermediate layer, which markedly improves the adhesion of the coating to the article being coated.

     
  2. 2.

    A universal torch has been constructed which simplifies the operation of the UPU-3 plasma unit, widens the range of deposits than can be applied, and increases the accuracy with which the components of composite coatings can be metered.
