Abstract
Chronic administration of phetolamine and obsidan to rats previously treated with alloxan alleviated the destructive action of alloxan on the B cells and promoted new islet formation. It is suggested that phentolamine and obsidan block one of the possible mechanisms of the destructive action of alloxan on the islet tissue, connected with the intensification of adrenalin secretion.
