Abstract

The structure and properties of powder composite material coatings based on TiN-Al2O3 produced by plasma deposition and subsequent laser fusion, have been examined. X-ray spectral microanalysis, electron microscopy and metallographic analysis were used to establish that the coating structure with a high level of physicomechanical properties, is reinforced with Al2O3 fibers, and is formed under substrate irradiation conditions that are close to those for sintering and hot compaction.
