Cold forming of long rods from YBa2Cu3O7−x powder

Abstract

The compaction of superconducting YBa2Cu3O7−x powder has been examined under conditions of one-sided and hydrostatic pressing. There is a threshold density involved. Methods have been developed for the periodic formation of long rods from the high-temperature superconducting powder.
