Chemical properties of nitrides of some transition metals

A study was made of the stability of titanium, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, and chromium nitride powders in water, alkali solutions, and dilute and concentrated acids. It was established that nitrides of the d-transition metals are completely stable in both cold and boiling water.
