Conclusions

1.
It has been established that electric-pulse sintering under pressure is characterized by more rapid diffusion compared with conventional sintering and dynamic hot pressing. This is probably due to the high temperatures generated in this process at the contact boundaries and to the specific character of the process.

2.
It is shown that electric-pulse sintering under pressure can be employed for the production of materials with either markedly nonequilibrium or nearly equilibrium structures.
