Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics Aims and scope

Conclusions

In the drawing and machining of brass-plated U7A steel, Kh18N10T steel, and grade VA tungsten titanonitrided hard-metal tools surpass standard tools by 1.5–2 times in wear resistance. Hard metal tools coated with TiN may be recommended for machining Ni-base materials and for operation at high temperatures and in corrosive environments.
