Conclusions
The catalytic action of nickel on the process of carbon removal during the heat treatment of viscose filaments filled with nickel powder enables virtually nonporous metal fibers to be obtained. In the sintering of nickel-containing viscose fibers the fiber preoxidation operation can be dispensed with, which simplifies the process of production of such fibers.
