On propagation of a shock wave in a porous material upon collision of plates

  • Published:
Combustion, Explosion and Shock Waves Aims and scope

Abstract

The results of studying the propagation of shock waves in porous aluminum are given. Agreement between experiment and numerical calculations based on a model that takes into account the influence of a plastic zone is demonstrated.
