Abstract
Thermal ignition of a porous layer of finite thickness with a moving heat carrier has been studied. The asymptotic character of the critical conditions at high velocities of the heat carrier has been established. A nonmonotonic dependence of the ignition delay on the heat carrier velocity has been observed. Possible ignition regimes and their characteristics are described.
