Abstract
In the last decade, the number of children and adults diagnosed learning disabled has increased. It is a diagnosis often determined and treated by either the medical or educational professions. In a significant number of cases, the identified learning problems may, in fact, be symptoms of a borderline personality syndrome. In those cases, appropriate treatment includes psychotherapy as well as educational supports. The following article describes the possible relationship between learning disabilities and the borderline personality syndrome.
