  • Published:
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A phenomenological description is given of the atomization of molten metals by a gas stream; an examination is made of the energy balance of the process as a whole and of its individual elements.

  2. 2.

Recommendations are given for increasing the productivity of the atomization process, lowering its cost, and raising its efficiency by varying individual, controllable technological parameters.
