Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The solubility of tungsten in theγ-solid solution decreases by a factor of 2–2.5 (at appropriate temperatures) as the iron content increases.

     
  2. 2.

    The greatest change in the solubility of tungsten in theγ -solid solution with temperature occurs for alloys with an Ni ∶ Fe ratio of 50 ∶ 50 wt. %.

     
  3. 3.

    Alloys containing 80% Ni and 20% Fe are characterized by the highest solubility of tungsten in the (Ni, Fe) Wγ-solid solution, and this solubility varies little with temperature.
