Conclusions
It was shown experimentally that compaction of different nickel powders during pressing in the 29–490 MN/m2 range cannot be described by any one of the investigated equations of pressing.
In this pressure range pressing of carbonyl powder is described by Lipson's Eq. (4), whereas pressing of enlarged carbonyl and spherical electrolytic powders in the 98–490 MN/m2 is described by a polytropic type Eq. (1). The constants involved in these equations were found.
