Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A reduction in the hardening temperature of BrB2 bronze from 780 to 720°C makes it possible to increase the service life by more than 1.5 times as the result of grain refinement.

  2. 2.

The small decrease in tensile strength after low temperature hardening has practically no influence on the hysteresis of bellows.
