Abstract

The authors propose a method of approximate determination of the service life of a pipeline by evaluating the residual ductility of the metal of pipes or their welded joints on the basis of the results of tests carried out under the conditions of pure bending of specimens with a stress raiser cut out from the critical region of the pipeline.
