Technology for making refractory components from aluminum nitride

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The authors developed a method of making articles from aluminum nitride powder by pressing blanks using a solution of rubber in benzene as the plasticizer, followed by sintering the blanks in an atmosphere of nitrogen at 1900–50°C.

     
  2. 2.

    Methods are suggested for making rods, tubes and protective sheaths for thermocouples and also solid articles, from aluminum nitride.
