Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The conditions of impurity removal from refractory metals during the sintering of their powders are examined.

  2. 2.

It is shown that, in addition to the diffusion of elements in metals, their gaseous diffusion through the pores also takes place. Both these processes determine the degree and overall rate of purification of refractory metals and compounds.
