Conclusions

The λ powder-rolling process is analyzed as a process of continuous compaction from two sides; the densification region is regarded as being localized at a certain depth within the strip.

On the basis of the proposed rolling scheme, analytical relationships have been derived for determining the rolling angle αr, Eq. (12), and the distribution of the conglomerate density over the arc of rolling, Eq. (14).

Tests have been carried out, showing agreement between calculated and experimental data.
