Apparatus for prolonged high-temperature testing of materials in vacuum or in an inert atmosphere

  • Published:
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics Aims and scope

Summary

The authors describe the design of a six-section device for tests on creep and long-time strength of refractory metals and their alloys in vacuum or inert medium at a temperature up to 2500°C.

The autonomy of the sections gives an opportunity to carry out tests of some samples simultaneously at different temperatures and in different media.

Small size and compactness are the distinguishing features of this device.
