Conclusions
-
1.
An examination is made of some elements involved in calculating the operating time of porous bearings under self-lubrication conditions.
-
2.
An approximate formula is given allowing for the influence of the vaporizability of impregnating oil products, evaporation temperature, bearing material, and amount of oil in the pores.
