  • Published:
Strength of Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

A method of calculating a spherical dome with impact of a solid body is presented. The shell model is used for calculations. Equations are solved using Laplace's transform. Values of loads at which plastic deformations occur are obtained and areas of applicability of simpler impact loading schemes determined.
