Synthesis, characterization and catalytic properties of La2−xSr x NiO4−δ

Abstract

Various compositionsx in the catalyst system La2−xSr x NiO4−δ have been prepared by conventional techniques and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, electron microscopy and BET surface measurements. The catalytic properties of these catalysts have been tested in the propylene oxidation reaction. The catalytic activity can be correlated with the oxygen content and with the strontium substitution.
