Abstract

Hydroformylation of hex-1-ene using a water soluble rhodium catalyst HRh(CO)[PPh2(m-C6H4SO3Na)]3 (HRh(CO)(TPPMS)3) (I), gives lower yields whenα-cyclodextrin is added to the biphasic reaction system implying an interaction between the cyclodextrin and rhodium catalyst.
