Abstract

The inverse scattering method is applied to a class of space-times belonging to the Bianchi types I–VII. Solitonic perturbations corresponding to one or two poles on an arbitrary cosmological background are described in detail. The fundamental matrixψ 0 is explicitly calculated for a Bianchi II background, thus providing the first known example of a non-diagonal case.
