Abstract

We have developed a standard photolithographic process to fabricate intrinsic Josephson effect (IJE) devices on the basis of YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) thin films. The two key issues to observe IJE in YBCO were structure sizes in the micron range and a reduction of the interlayer coupling by removal of chain oxygen.
