Abstract
We give a formulation of classical spinor electrodynamics in terms of gauge-invariant quantities. The set of invariants consists of bilinear combinations of spinor fields (currents), a real-valued covector field, and a complex scalar field of modulus one. The presented result is a first step towards formulating quantum electrodynamics in terms of gauge-invariant fields.
