Conclusions
-
1.
The strength and plastic properties of turbine blades of VZhL12U alloy are determined to a significant degree by the carbide transformations, the redistribution of alloy elements, the precipitation of new phases, and the change in morphology of the γ′-phase particles occurring in service.
-
2.
One of the basic causes promoting the start of fatigue failure of blades of VZhL12U alloy is thermal fatigue cracking of the coating applied to these blades.
