Abstract
It has been argued by Mermin that agedanken decay of a three-particle system gives a more powerful demonstration of quantum nonlocality than Bell's analysis. It is shown that this claim is premature. Anad hoc model based on local realism is constructed in order to reproduce the quantum mechanical prediction of the three-particlegedanken decay.
