“... to award the State Prize of the USSR for 1976 to the leaders in socialist competition: ... 3. ... to Nikolai Ivanovich Shaforostov, furnaceman; to Vladimir Romanovich Peshkov, shop head; to Aleksandr Vladimirovich Ashurkov, sintering plant workers; to Ravis Fauzeevich Nurgaliev, steelmelter; to Mikhail Aleksandrovich Deev, roller; and to the workers of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Great October Western Siberia Metallurgical Plant for outstanding accomplishments in labor and initiative in the search for and utilization of reserves for increasing production effectiveness.” (From the decree of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the Council of Ministers of the USSR on Nov. 7, 1976.)
