Résumé
Les auteurs ont étudié quelques enzymes de la chaîne ganglionnaire chezEisenia foetida.
La recherche histochimique a permis de révéler la présence dans les pyrénophores des cellules nerveuses d'une réaction positive pour la phosphatase acide, pour l'ATPase, pour la succino-déshydrogénase, pour la cytochrome-oxydase et pour les estérases. L'acétylcholinestérase est sourtout concentrée au niveau du tissu conjonctif de la chaîne ganglionnaire qui forme une gaine épaisse autour des neurocordes et qui enveloppe les pyrénophores ainsi que les différents faisceaux de fibres nerveuses. Dans le cas de tous les enzymes que les auteurs ont pris en considération, l'axoplasme des neurocordes, qui est pauvre en organules cellulaires et très fluide, ne révèle, même lorsque les fibres nerveuses du neuropylème présentent une activité assez nette (phosphatase acide, succino-déshydrogénase), aucune réaction ou, tout au plus, une réaction très faible. Les auteurs discutent les résultats auxquels ils ont abouti en les comparant `a ceux qu'ont obtenus d'autres auteurs qui ont étudié le système nerveux de certains Vertébrés ou Invertébrés.
