Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Based on a residue fraction from Dolno Dybnik petroleum, after distilling off the fractions boiling up to 350°C, four liquid phases resembling Apiezon greases are obtained whose properties are illustrated by their retention volumes and the heats of dissolution of 11 aromatic hydrocarbons.

  2. 2.

It is shown that the liquid phases obtained have similar characteristics to Apiezon M produced by the English firm of Edwards High Vacuum, Ltd.
