Methods of improving the accuracy of fuel knock rating determination

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The use of transistorized ignition and the electronic helical mixture producing system (EGSS) reduces cyclic irregularity of knock intensity and improves accuracy of ON determination.

  2. 2.

Systematic errors of ON determination associated with changes in barometric pressure are reduced by referring ON determined at arbitrary barometric pressure to normal pressure.
